This project connects caregivers with people nearby who have the time and willingness to help. It gives caregivers time to rest and take care of their own needs, while offering helpers a meaningful opportunity and a way to earn extra income. Together, we are creating a community marketplace for making connections that complements gaps in formal services.

NNS-Point – homepage for offering and finding help for caregiving families

About the project

When the Nikdy nejsi sám association approached us with the idea for the NNS-Point application, it was more than just another digital project. Behind it was a desire to connect people who need help with those who can offer it, and to create a tool that would make a real difference in everyday life. Our task was to help turn this vision into a functional, user-friendly application that would serve its users today while supporting the project’s future development.

Solution design

The first step was to create a clear and trustworthy user experience. Švejda & Goldmann studio took care of the UX and UI design, guiding the client through the entire design process and doing an excellent job. Together, they defined the application’s appearance, its communication, and how the service would present itself to the public. This created a solid foundation for the next stages of the project.Once the vision and design were clearly defined, we took over. We continued with development and implementation, focusing on speed, stability, and the project’s future growth. We built the application’s frontend using the Next.js framework, which enabled us to create a modern, fast, and scalable solution. For content management and administration, we chose the proven open-source CMS Strapi, giving the association’s team a clear interface for managing data and content without relying on developers.

Implementation

A significant part of the project was not the development itself, but finding the right way to introduce the concept to future users. This was the focus of a series of joint workshops, discussions, and brainstorming sessions. Non-profit organisations often face the same challenge: their services, processes, and opportunities to get involved are so varied that explaining them to website visitors simply and clearly can be difficult. There is often a lot of information, while the path to taking the first step remains unclear.Together, we therefore looked for a way to simplify the process and break it down into clear steps that would help visitors quickly understand what NNS-Point offers and how they can get involved. At the same time, we made sure the organisation retained full control over its content. Through Strapi, administrators can independently update information, respond to the project’s emerging needs, and develop individual parts of the application without having to involve the development team in every change.

Looking ahead

And what comes next? Launching the application certainly does not mark the end of our collaboration. We believe NNS-Point will find its place and continue helping the people it was created for. If the association decides to add new features, respond to user feedback, or develop the overall concept further, we are ready to be part of it.Alongside further development, we also handle the operation, maintenance, security, and technical stability of the entire solution. The chosen technologies, Next.js and Strapi, provide a modern, proven foundation for secure and sustainable long-term operation. This allows the association to focus on its work while we make sure NNS-Point runs reliably today and in the years ahead.

And what did they say about us?

At the beginning, there was just an idea in my head, Google Meets, emails, and unfamiliar words like kick-off, Figma, and Strapi. And I’m from the pencil-and-squared-notepad generation. During our in-person meetings, I even thought Lukáš wasn’t paying me much attention… until I realised he was just rapidly typing notes on his phone for the rest of the team. And there I was, still with my little notepad! And today? Figma is behind us, and Strapi has been conquered! The result exceeded my expectations – the websites look fantastic: modern, consistent, and intuitive. Guys, thank you so much for your great work, patience, and helpfulness. I have such respect for your professionalism, which enabled you to tame not only the technical requirements, but also me and my squared notepad.
